Grant Spiers Wins Scottish Amateur Poker Championship
In the late hours of last night, APAT Scottish International Grant Spiers took down the prestigious 888poker Scottish Amateur Poker Championship, beating James Kearns heads up for the title, Championship Cup, Gold Medal and £3,095 first prize. Spiers will also represent APAT in a UKIPT professional event as part of his prize for winning the Scottish title.
As one of 24 players who made it through to day two, Spiers played aggressively throughout to beat his Glasgow Poker Club colleague Jamie Kearns heads up, with Martin Turner taking Bronze.
