By Car : Hire car from Václav Havel Airport Prague,or Nuremberg Airport Germany, each takes approximately 2 hours to drive
By Bus : https://www.flixbus.co.uk/ operates from Prague Airport to Cheb (approx 3 hrs – £7 each way) when upon arrival Grand Casino Asch will collect from Cheb and transport to casino
By Train : Trains from Prague to Asch are impratical due to the 9+ hours travel time, and the journey from Nuremberg Airport to Asch by Train/Bus takes approx 3-4 hours
By Plane : Václav Havel Airport Prague, and Nuremberg Airport Germany, are the nearest for onward travel to Grand Casino Asch
The German Team Championship is an OPEN ‘pre-register’ event – ie open to ANY poker player to partake in a team, with teams confirmed in advance of the weekend, and the weekend supporting events are open to ANY individual player whether they play in the German Team Championship or not.
Hosted at Grand Casino Aš, Friday 9th – Sunday 11th February 2024 (with supporting side events), the German Team Championship will have teams of 4 members playing over a 3-day weekend with 2 x rounds of STTs and culminating in a 2-day MTT, and with APAT Championship Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals awarded for the top 3 teams.
The maximum capacity is 42 teams to compete for team glory, with the entry fee of €100+€20 per player paid to the Top 6 teams – points will be scored by each individual team member in each Round, with each teams’ member points added together into a team leaderboard to identify the winning teams. STTs will play 8-max, and the MTT will play 9-max with the MTT Day 1 playing down to 50% of the field.
