ANTHONYASH12 THE MAN IN FINAL MATCHDAY

The final matchday in the  APAT Premier League took place on Sunday and we saw confirmation of the 10 teams that will play out the Grand Final.  34 teams started this league, all battling it out on Grosvenor Poker Online with thousands of pounds up for grabs along with the all important team matchday points.  The Grand Final with £4,000 of live tournament seats is all that is left in the schedule.

The teams were drawn into four conferences to play ‘matches’ against each other every week.  Here’s a reminder of the conference draw :-

TRUMP CARDS FINISH ON TOP IN THE CLUB CONFERENCE

The lead in the Club Conference changed numerous times throughout the final matchday, and ended up with Trump Cards on top after a 73-56 victory over Team Effort.  Top scoring FPG Team 2 finished in 2nd place, with UTFB Dragons having to be content with a Wildcard place after being in the top two for the whole season.  Team Gotham continued their high scoring to bag themselves a Grand Final place through the wildcards

HITSQUAD MAJORS MAKE GRAND FINAL PLACE ON POINTS IN THE DIAMOND CONFERENCE

Yorkshire’s White Roses wrapped up their 7th win and will be joined in the Grand Final by Hitsquad Majors.  They had an equal record to The Cream of LBPN but their superior overall team score was enough to secure their place.

REIGNING CHAMPS MAKE IT THROUGH IN THE HEART CONFERENCE

Big Potatoes were already guaranteed a Grand Final place and are joined by reigning Premier League champions, Quad Jokers from the Heart Conference.  Both secured final matchday victories to see off the threat from FPG Team 1 and Team Spawn.

COLDSTREAMPKR SWEAT IT OUT IN THE SPADE CONFERENCE

With The Chips Don’t Lie – Shakira Shakira already in the Grand Final, the teams below them were battling it out for the one remaining place.  As the final matchday played out, ColdstreamPKR had already secured a 67-0 victory over Odds n Sods, meaning they were left in second place, watching the result of FTPD v Who Needs Friends ? play out.  Eventual matchday winner ‘anthonyash12’ did enough for FTPD to take the victory, meaning Who Needs Friends ? missed out by a point.

The Club Conference ended up being the home of the two ‘Wildcard’ spots in the shape of UTFB Dragons and Team Gotham.  FPG Team 1 in the Heart Conference and The Cream of LBPN in the Diamond Conference were the closest teams competing for the wildcard places
