Ft  Venetian deepstack, absolutely knackered, been awake 28hours, using chips to keep my eyes open, have an 18 bb stack so puts a bit of pressure on people, will add the result at the end $350 locked for 10th, back soon.

After 4 hours sleep, I am wide awake, doesn"t bode well for the rest of the week as body clock going to be all over the place, still, worse things happen at sea.

A few thoughts about last nights efforts, 4 players inc me came from the initial first table, and within the first 2 levels I had separated all 10 into who I wanted to avoid and who I was happy to go to war with.

Needless to say the 3 who I chose to avoid, made it to the ft.

Was another grind as I was never gifted cards or cards fell for me but I can play a 15/20 bb stack reasonably well, (ie all in, easy game).

I folded AA on a paired board when I had bet a one third pot on the river but got reraised, I may of been bluffed here, I very much doubt it though and speaking to a young Canadian guy he agreed, this put me in the 10/15 bb territory, the cash bubble has burst and the button raised, I rejam A 10, he calls with AJ, I turn a house but a jack could still swing it for him, faded that and made the Ft.

Accumulated some chips but it was still push/fold poker, although one or two raise and take its other than just shoving, laddered up to 4 th spot, when I get it in good with tens v AK, villain hit 2 pair, I turned a straight draw but didn"t get there, so got $1k5  , plus $30 on fruit machine,(didn"t have a clue how that came in), I just noticed $30 credit and seen as though I had only put in $5, whipped it out, nits gonna nit.

The list of games I was going to play comes to $1200, so freerolling the rest of the week, may or may not play a bit of cash, see how I feel.

Plan of action today is Twin peaks for Lunch, seems a hospitable place to go to, then pop over to play the 1pm at the Aria or there is a $200 sat into a $1100 at the Venetian at 4pm.

If they go belly up which we have to assume they will, may try and get tickets for a show tonight,  being Billy no mates, single seats are easier to come by.

As an aside got a room upgrade from a classic to a high roller view room on check in, bonded with the check in lady as she had relatives in Consett, as has my Missus.

Can also see the Bellagio Fountains as well, not a full view but beggars cant be choosers.

Really enjoyed the tournament, mixture of good solid players, splashy  fish, and my underlings as King of the nits, some tight ones.

Don"t normally drink when I play at home, atmosphere is so different here though, as long as you don"t go too daft and your hold em hand turns don"t turn into an Omaha one it should be ok, God I go on, Gl to all in Manchester, enjoy the game.

Quickie I promise, played the Aria Daily today. After food and drinks
at twin peaks was feeling light headed, alcohol and sunshine don"t mix with me, not the ideal preparation but whatever.

Got up to 18k at first break, then get AA in aipf v queens, turned dead, quads will do, so instead of a 35k stack am left with 3k which goes in v kings with A 10, no help, nh, gg.

Didn"t fancy playing again so popped to see a hypnotist show which was ok to spend a few hours, glad I payed only $20 instead of the full price, would of felt a bit ripped off $20 an ok price.

Downtown tomorrow I think, may play Binnions 10k guaranteed if in the mood.

Brilliant Stuff as usual Bri, well played mate. Run good for the rest of the trip.

As you are bound to win some more soon are you returning to Vegas next year as part of a possible APAT trip?

You certainly have the game to bring home plenty of yankee dollars.

Very interesting reading about your Vegas trips Brian,
I am not jealous in any way shape or form  :"(

Doubt it, got a long weekend in Dusseldorf early March, plus Susan wouldn"t be too chuffed.
Saturday popped downtown for Binnions 10k gtee, although a few tourists most seemed to be locals.

Before the game started indulged in a pile of crabs legs and other various seafood delicacies, 15 mins before the game, this might have proved to be a bad idea as my stomach was giving me jip and I didn"t feel too good, managed to get comfy and get settled in.

Table was pretty soft and after 6 levels was up to 80k, no premiums just 3 betting in position and c betting usually got the job done.

Got moved tables and there was 20 left, only 7 paid, I didn"t win a single hand in the next 3 levels, had Ak at least 4x, c bets were met with resistance and usually couldn"t continue with the action which ensued.

With 12 left, decided to get my last 18k over a min raise with K9 cc, was up against AQ, which I was happy with, even happier on the 2 club board, probs a favourite now, alas couldn"t bink either card or a club.

Binnions have moved their tourneys to the back of the casino with cash games taking precedent in the poker room, this took a little bit of the atmosphere from the game, but i assume they make money from cash games than mtts, overlay was ok though, pity I couldn"t grab a bit of it.

Game started with 70 runners and there was a $1k5 overlay, finished 12th, bit annoying as the game was so soft and with the 80k stack was quite confident of at least a final table position, wasn"t to be, all part and parcel.

Sundays game is a $30k gteed $400 buy in 2 day event for seniors (50+) at the Venetian.

Removing hoodie, purchasing Cardigan, pipe and slippers for this one, hold onto your hats, it may go mad.

Cheers Craig for comments, tournament poker can be a bitch, but at least the early bink let me Freeroll the Freeroll, (As indicated by Rob somewhere).

Slightly tilted report, started the $30k guaranteed game like a train and by level 6 was up to 35k, then the inevitable kick in the nuts.

I raise tens utg, guy flats (Jacks), Spewy guy shoves all in (46off),only another 5k to call, reisolate but Jacks guy reshoves, it"s only costing me another 4k to call and the pot is 28k,pretty sure I would need to hit a set, flop 66x, other guy gets the little bit extra from me, sigh.

Blinds are 300/600, guy limps utg, I raise QQ, which gets re raised, original limper folds, I shove, guy takes a while but eventually calls with AK, K on the river done me, got to win dem flips, perhaps flat the QQ and then shove any non AK flop, meh whatever, that seems to be the wimpiest way to play it, he may just call any way after all it"s an ace and a King.

Was nowhere near the cash so no biggie, but not flipping well at the moment, even my first cash lost the flip at the end which probably cost me another grand.

May play the $200 later, looking like a break even trip if no other cashes but we have a few more goes  to hit a profit.

Decided to hop into Bellagios 5pm game, started like a right idiot, and was down to 5k in the first 2 hands due to my inability to read, bet 2k5 into a pot of 500, didn"t get there, total Buffoon, miss read chip denominations

Anyway reached the final table, 5 paid 7 left, lose a flip with AK v JJ, never in doubt Jacks hold, left with 15bigs going into 2/4k, writing this in the break so will finish the tale in a bit, need a bit of luck now.

After a quick count, the biggest stack had 20 bigs agreed a 5 way chop $600 each which was 3rd place cash, ok with it tbh as been playing 12 hours, glad to break even for the day, actually $75 profit,

Love walking out of the hotel into the heat, it"s just so pleasant, not looking forward to the cold on my return.

Typing this whilst waiting in line ( gone all American) for the breakfast buffet, usually this fills me up for the day, grab something later if needed.

After a quick count we are $1k up, so I could lock it up and being the general nit/ tightwad could hide away and be happy with that.

But we don"t want to do that, so Venetian have another $400 on today, no guarantee, but will get 100 plus runners, so going to jump into that.

Also a free lunch is being provided by the casino, nits gonna nit.

Depending on what happens in the above, no poker tonight, need some form of the other entertainment, ( that"s the profit wiped out then
