Some of the team know already, I"ve been talking about stepping down this season for a long time since the Worlds at DTD, and its with regret that this Sunday will be my last game as Stockton Captain.
From my first APAT in Vienna years ago, to coming back and raving about all that was APAT to my mates at the pub, to then start dragging some of them to APAT events and forming the Stockton team out of a bunch of fantastic mates from the pub and then winning promotion from Div 2 into Div 1 with just a few regulars has been a fanastic achievement and I"m proud to have been captain for the past few years.
Individually the Stockton team has excelled, winning numerous Golds online and live, we have a current world champion, ex european champion live, and online too many to count titles and medals spread around the team over the past years. All mates and all from what started from a pub team. Very proud.
Personally, as some of you know I received an important work phone call during the early hours of an important Pai Gow session
near the end of the Vegas trip which meant the landing of a contract for my company that we"d been chasing for a number of years which will mean my spare time limited over the next year or so.
I will aim to play as many APAT live and online as I can, but feel this is a good time to pass on the Stockton captaincy to someone who can give the team the time and energy it deserves. Anyone wishing to apply please send me a PM.
Good luck to all the teams ongoing, been a pleasure sharing tables with you all, and look forward to doing so in the future.
For me personally I"d like to thank all the Stockton team for their efforts from Div 2 and into Div 1, you"ve done us all proud. Couldn"t of wished for a better set of team mates.
Thank you.
Much love.
