North American Amateur Poker Championship - Caesars Palace, Las Vegas
This event brought APAT's first visit to America and was supported by a band of over 60 APAT members and a legendary build up thread. In addition to the event held at an iconic Las Vegas venue, the trip also saw a 21st birthday, a stag party, a wedding and several other "legendary" incidents. The event was won by Micky Paterson.
United Kingdom Individual & Home International Championship - Aspers, Newcastle
This 3 day event saw the debut of the United Kingdom Home Internationals; featuring A & B team selections from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, in addition to the 2 day United Kingdom Amateur Poker Championship. The Team Championship was won by Wales A, while Ben Young won the Individual Championship.
United Kingdom Team Championship - G Casino, Luton
This 2 day event featured 24 of the UK"s most competitive poker communities and was eventually won by the Gambling Network Forum.
World Championship Of Amateur Poker - Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham
Played over 5 days, the fourth annual WCOAP featued events in Team, Stud, Omaha, Six-Max, Heads-Up, HORSE in addition to a three day main event which was won by Dave Garden.
