Des and the APAT team, I couldn"t be happier with the announcement so far.  After reading the first couple of pages I totally lost interest in what I can only describe as dribble! I understand everyone is entitled to there opinion  however what you"s guys have done for amateur poker in the UK is outstanding!!  Now according to the rules who the feck can I play for this session!!!! I"m from Northern Ireland, my dads from New Zeland, we had a Portugees dog once, my aunt married a German porn star and I currently live in a 1970"s country (Gibraltar) !!!! Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like your choices are Ireland or Europe then Dave.  Flip a coin ?

The tournament is already in the Pokerstars lobby.

Couldn"t it do with some added description though?

At the very least "See www.apat.com for more details" for example

I"m not expecting any randoms.  We are not carrying the APAT url on the PokerStars lobby - we did last time, and the only way to play is by picking up the password here.  We"ve also not mentioned the prize details.

Another (hopefully) interesting topic that could turn into a debate - randoms?

Personally, I"m all for it - but as Joobs has just said, I think the tourneys HAVE to be password protected (or ticketed if possible along the $11) because people are going to see an $11 tournament at 7pm on a Sunday night and add it to their grind.

I"d password it - with the caveat (again, if possible on the forum software) that to get the password a player MUST join the APAT forum, make a post stating their name and Stars ID in their  chosen team"s sign-up thread - then they can see a locked post with the password in. Password needs to be changed every week.

Then advertise the hell out of it. After all, that"s got to be what we want, new blood.

It is password protected and all 15 tournaments are currently sitting within Tournies / Private on the PokerStars client.  The PokerStars tournament team will be updating the starting time as all bar the first two tournaments have been set at 8pm.

Very much this.........it wouldn"t take a genius to find the one password that lasts all season.....I say welcome tourism...just let them go that extra step

On re-reading, my posts read a bit harsher than I intended. I wasn"t intending to upset the Luton players, who we all know had a bond. I just didn"t fancy a super-team of London plus Luton, who have just finished second in the old league, which would have been guaranteed one of the top three places in the league, but the wording of the posts could have been better chosen. Having said that, I am disappointed by Richard"s responses, which were unnecessary and I hope he will retract them. Anyway, Des & Tighty have shown the wisdom of Solomon and made some wise decisions, so it"s time to focus on the new team - South-East for the title. Congrats on the captaincy, Richard - I am going to pm the Solent players" names and contact details to you. I hope the team does well - I will play as often as I can.

Just realised you don"t need a pm with the details, cos they"re all on the Solent sign-up page:
