As long as you have a Pokerstars account, then you can join up with a region to play.

Guess that PokerStars announce the APAT Online events under "privat" or "regional". Just as a prevention, please assure that players outside from UK/Ireland are able to register. Sometimes there are problems. Guess players from different countries have their own regional tournaments.

The event is only open to people living in or born in the East Midlands  

Just kidding, the event is open to all APAT members and APAT membership is open to all. But you must register with one of the regional teams before the first game. See other threads on how to do this and what the rules are regarding which team to join.

Some clashes will occur during the season JP.  PokerStars mobile may help in some cases, but hopefully it will be a relatively small number of players affected.

This might be quite fun actually; a group from the North East huddled around their i-Phones in one corner of the casino, a bunch of Scots in another while a bloke in a corduroy cap stalks the venue for signs of collusion.

For me, they are under Tourneys > Private

Also for some reason my filter settings mean that they don"t show unless I switch filters off (just cannot see which filter is blocking them)

That"s not to say that they aren"t regionalised aswell, so you may still have a problem.

excellent super deep stack tourney. But this means i"ll now have no excuses for being crap
