Pokerstars - Sunday Million
« on: February 19, 2012, 18:55:51 PM »
I"ve qualified for the Sunday Million on Stars tonight. I"m new to stars only had it since APAT's announcement on Wednesday but i"ve read that it goes on until the early hours of the morning? Obviously i"m not expecting to final table or get anywhere close to the serious money, but maybe a min-cash would be nice.

Anyone else playing this tonight?

Nothing too interesting...

Apart from being short stacked and in need of a double up, there"s little or no other reasoning for shoving Ah 2h pre-flop . Having satellite"d in for $22, i"d been running pretty well most the afternoon. So i thought why not.

Ran in to AK and Pocket 9"s and thats where my luck ended.

Ooooopsss  :-[

Sigh... Mike... I can"t let you get away with that description!

You jammed 35 bb"s under the gun with A2 suited in the milly!!!!   :o

Why the long absence anyway? Will we be seeing you at some live events this year?

After APAT Cardiff last year i had planned to do two more events (The Worlds at DTD & Irish Amateur Championships) As it came closer to the events, work commitments took over...

At the beginning of June time i had quite a big win on Betfred, this gave me an opportunity to do things i hadn"t done before. The first thing i wanted to do was learn to play golf, soon i was hooked and decided to buy my own set of clubs and any spare time i had was spent playing the odd 9-holes or even 18-holes. The next crazy idea i had was to buy myself a road bike and enter myself into a triathlon. So i spent just eight weeks prior to the 25th September getting into shape, the results are here if your interested http://www.tri247.com/results_10430.html (I finished 215th out of 318, So not bad for a first attempt - I also raised just under £150 for Marie Curie Cancer Care) In October i had my 21st birthday, so this period is quite a blur in my memory spending most of the time seeing friends at various universities and getting very drunk - then in November i did some more charity work doing little more than grow a beard/moustache for Movember.. December i spent being ill, i had flu for two weeks so i missed most of Christmas and only just got better in time for New Years, then last month is that time of year when Car Insurance, M.O.T and everything all seems to come at once. The sad thing being that in this period of time i hadn"t touched a single playing card, then a few weeks back i was watching some late night poker, Liv Boeree was on it commontating and this intern made me think of APAT and how long i hadn"t been on the forums/poker scence for so i decided to get back into it..

I"ll re-post this in my Blog and add some more details / pictures etc.
