Published as rooms in Cork seem to be in short supply.

Won"t be able to make this one simply because it clashes with my other love and annual pilgrimage to the T In The Park music festival.

I have booked the Metropole Fri-Mon

Just trying to figure out the best way to get there, they cancelled the Swansea to Cork Ferry FFS

It seems I have to drive to Birmingham then fly to Cork, thats doable.

Plan B

Take Thursday off
Drive to Chezger (I"ll fix up the spare room)
Attend Aquarium rebuy fish fest Thursday night and get slaughtered
Sleep in Friday morning
Fly from Liverpool Friday afternoon (Trying Air @ 15:20)
Back Monday morning
Drive home
Job done

;D

EDIT - Liv-Ork £42 + admin = approx £54 total at the moment

An APAT weekend - Priceless*

Birmingham to Cork is £86 though leaving on Friday 6th at 1pm and returning Monday 9th at 11am. For some reason Bristol is really expensive

The Gresham Metropole only has a few rooms left (at least according to booking.com) for around £75 per night.

Likewise, the Isaacs (which is opposite the Metropole) has only 2 left (according to laterooms) for c.£65 per night.

Windsor Inn (also v.close) via laterooms now only £65 but also filling up.

Establishments (beverage-wise)

Dan Lowerys: Opposite the Issacs (we measured it at 22 yards...I forget why)  ;D

Nice little pub, but a bit homey for my liking. Not big.

The Shelbourne: 22 yards up MacCurtain Street from Dan Lowery"s (yes, we measured that too)  ;D

Nice big pub with limited outdoor seating out front for the smokers or those who just want to watch the young ladies walk by. Allegedly with free Wifi.

Recommended.

More to come when I return from lunch

May seem an unlikely question to be answered to any degree of help as too many caveats, however ...

what would people who have been think the total cost would be for such a trip.

Base it on average hotel and sensible drinks!! ( ok how many rounds to be bought!)
