Season 6 Matchday 2 - Bring It Home (The Sequel)
« on: March 18, 2012, 00:33:00 AM »
So tonight 7pm sees the second leg of the online league season and after a storming start and win for our very own Louis Manson (Honeybadg) and 4 team points for Scotland"s 2nd place, I for one couldn"t resist registering early for the next instalment. So who"s playing this week? Stick a wee note of your name up here and we"ll keep an eye out over the course of the game. Good luck to all taking part and, of course, C"mon The Scots! ! ! ! ! ! !  ;)

I am ready for round 2 of the encounter ...

Do the league winners get - 4 UKIPT seats?

Is there then some formula for how monies are shared for any winnings?

Here Louis:-

Prizes - Leading Regions

8 - From the winning region; the top three players at the end of the season in descending order of player points will qualify each for a seat at a UKIPT event (£770 value with no expenses).  Where players finish with an equal number of player points, final team selection will be sorted in the following order:  a)  The player who has scored player points in the greater number of matches will be deemed to finish ahead.  Should this not separate the players, b) The player who has scored the highest single number of player points will be deemed to finish ahead.  Should this still not separate the players, c)  A playoff will be organised between the appropriate players at PokerStars.com.

9 - As above, the top three players from the runner up region will qualify each for a seat at an online PokerStars.com Sunday Million event ($215 value).

10 - As above, the top three players from the third place finishing region will qualify each for a seat at an online PokerStars.com event ($109 value).

11 - Any player winning a seat at a live or online event through clauses 8, 9 & 10, shall agree to allocate 30% of any prize payout ("the team share") above £1,000 in that event, to qualifying team players from his region.

12 - To become a qualifying team player, players must have scored a minimum of 1 player point during the season.

13 - The team share shall be allocated in ratio to the number of player points that each qualifying team player has earned over the season.

Prizes - Leading Players

14 - The player who scores the most player points over the season will be declared the PokerStars.com National Online League Individual Winner and will qualify for a seat at a UKIPT event (£770 value with no expenses). Where players finish with an equal number of player points, the winner will be sorted in the following order:  a)  The player who has scored player points in the greater number of matches will be deemed to finish ahead.  Should this not separate the players, b) The player who has scored the highest single number of player points will be deemed to finish ahead.  Should this still not separate the players, c)  A playoff will be organised between the appropriate players at PokerStars.com.

15 - As above, the runner up individual player will qualify for a seat at an online PokerStars.com Sunday Million event ($215 value).

16 - As above, the third placed individual player will qualify for a seat at an online PokerStars.com event ($109 value).

17 - For the avoidance of doubt, any player winning a seat at a live or online event through clauses 14, 15 & 16, shall NOT be required to allocate a % of their winnings to their team.

Prizes - Additional Awards

18 - Players will win prize money at each match as per the standard PokerStars.com prize payout scheme.

19 - In addition; and for the first time, the top 18 finishing individual players at the end of the season will be awarded APAT Ranking Points, with 18 points going to the first placed individual and 1 point going to the eighteenth placed finisher.

20 - The highest individual finishing English, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish and Irish players will be assured of a squad place with their National Team at the fifth annual World Championship Of Amateur Poker.  National Team captains will have responsibility for selecting which of their players play each phase of the World Amateur Team Championship.  Earning a squad place does not guarantee a place on the International Team.

Hope that helps

Yes - this is super useful.

19. So this is now 27 players.

20. I think this is a great idea - but I don"t fully understand the last line - could you be in the squad but play no games if the captain decided not to select you??

Superb result Gillian and well done the rest of the Scotland team, especially Adam & Johnny for their final table achievements. Amazing display also again from Lee Mardon of South East Team, 3rd and 2nd place finishes in the first 2 weeks leaves me looking for a hat tipping icon.

Week 3 can"t come soon enough  8)

Mon The Scots!!!!

30% of any winnings from the live seat will be split between the team on a points ratio ;)

Great going scotland to take top spot after week 2.... just remember 1 game at a time theres still 13 to go. ;)
You can only play pocket jacks 3 ways, all of which are wrong.

It's only a gambling problem if you are losing :D
