does hud work with zoom? i know it didnt work with rush. Anyway i dont think micro stakes zoom is the best prep for a deepstack 3 day tourny.

In a cash game i think 3 betting bigger, esp oop is better. just bet river for value.
2nd hand just shove, u have the nuts. And if he has you beat then u have 10 outs vs straight and  if he has set then NH.

I wouldn"t imagine so mate. ???
You can only play pocket jacks 3 ways, all of which are wrong.

It's only a gambling problem if you are losing :D

Hand 1 vb about $2 and don"t fold to a jam
Hand 2 call the raise and get the rest in on the river, you are in position
Looking forward to making my first day 2

HEM keep releasing stacks of updates for Zoom, guess it"s fine but I"ve not played it yet.

Hand 1 - I"d be tempting to shove at this level. If he"s calling $2 I"d hazard he"ll call the lot not a lot less often to make it more profitable

Hand 2 - As per dean

HUD"s work fine with a bit of tweaking - unfortunately my laptop burns itself up when I run the hud.

Hand 1 - would it be more profitable to check and hope he bluffs as there are straight and flush draws that missed? I would be surprised if he played a set that slow so can"t see us beat ever. This was my thinking at the time, on reflection we probably miss too much value with a check from Ax and two pair type hands that will check back. Unsure though as like the check to induce a spazz especially with the pot bet thats left.

Hand 2 - we bet out twice into two people on reasonably scary board and get check raised on the turn. My range looks really strong, what can we realistically put the check raiser on? May be being results orientated here but dont we only beat 22 and doesn"t he always have A5 here? Obviously couldnt fold anyway. Why are we calling and not jamming turn as we are not folding any river once we call.

Agree that you"re almost certainly good in Hand 1, so thoughts head immediately towards extracting value.

If he has Ax, then he"s played his hand perfectly and from the looks of his flop/turn play check behind on the river. Based on his play it looks like he might call a bet.

As for draws, for a straight draw he"d need to have cold called a 3bet with 65 or T9 pre, similar for a flush draw as the Ah is on the board. Coupled with no raise at any point and I"d label him as passive fish who"s probably not going to put a chip in the pot. Checking hoping for a spaz when he hasn"t spazzed on the flop or turn - think your % likelihood is pretty low.

Pulling a figure out of thin air, EV wise: calling $2.00 50% of the time = calling a shove of $3.50 28.5% of the time. Highly unlikely his calling-a-shove range is that significantly different from his calling-a-value-bet range so I"d guess shoving will win your more long term.

As for hand 2, calling>jamming as he"s acting first on the river. Jamming removes the small % of occasions where he folds to your jam but would"ve led river.

I"d be wary of overthinking at 2c/5c Zoom, but that"s another way of saying I would be so excited at flopping a set I wouldn"t want to fold it. Anyway, if you read his bet as committing himself you"re getting 1.82:1 on your remaining money (calling your remaining $3.70 to win $6.75). 33 vs a strength only range of {44,22,A5s,65s,43s,A5o,65o,43o} is around 2:1 so you"re not too far off break even. This range is reasonably tight given the circumstances, so if there"s a chance of any weaker holdings and an air % then that should swing the EV calcs significantly in your favour (i.e adding just 55 or 54 makes continuing +EV).

It"s pretty marginal, and you lose the hand a fair amount more than 50% of the time imo - but in this game where I"m likely to be underestimating my equity which already says close to break even then I"m probably going to go with it. Plus I can"t fold sets because I hate to be wrong ;) If you"re potentially going to tangle with this guy again then call away.

HUD Question - Rush poker used to save the whole hand to your hand history even if you"d folded, does Zoom do the same?

I made the immediate assumption he was a fish in hand 1 because of the min raise. No one min raises at 2cent/5cent, even if it is Zoom. Agree with your points and looks like a simple bet call is the best line. Obviously, in game, we checked like a pro and he went mental..

*** RIVER *** [8h 7s Ah Kc] [4d]
Mark_Port157: checks
noisex: bets $4.22 and is all-in
Mark_Port157: calls $3.68 and is all-in
Uncalled bet ($0.54) returned to noisex
*** SHOW DOWN ***
noisex: shows [8d 7d] (two pair, Eights and Sevens)
Mark_Port157: shows [Ac Kd] (two pair, Aces and Kings)
Mark_Port157 collected $10.79 from pot

I think hand 2 is a nit fold and felt like I should have folded at the time. Stats look like they just about support the call.

Stars gives you full hand histories so the HUD should be the same.
