Cruising

Last year the wife and I went for a 14 day cruise with Princess Cruises. It was absolutely brilliant (a sign that I"m getting old, before you say it), except that there was no "proper" poker in the casino. There was a daily 10-handed $30 NLHE tournament but they didn"t use cards and chips, it was an enormous electronic 10-seater table with a large flat screen in the middle of the table. It was rubbish. This year we are going for 16 days with P&O on their ship, The Ventura. Has anyone here been on it ? I need to know if there"s a poker game in their casino or if I should take my own chip set and get my own game going in a quiet corner. I can"t seem to get a straight answer from P&O

I"ve cruised with Royal Caribbean a couple of times and they also used the electronic table.

I would suggest this as an alternative cruise.

Why not? I took the Mrs, she went to Poker University in The Lakeland Casino in South Lake Tahoe, and is now ready to take down the Ian Ski home game! Also so much shopping and Spa ing (?) to do that there is plenty of poker time for the guys!
