Homegame/Casino?

I liked the idea of a home game or get together at a casino. It would be good to put faces to nickmames at least :-)

Hosting one at my house would kinda limit us to 8 players max, but I would at a push. I could also organise a game at my local which has a separated function room, although that would mean finishing by 11.30pm (a little later may be possible if we chose the right night and the landlady was cool with it).

Anyway, I wanted to start the the thread as I would also be very happy with a night at the casino. gala do a good private tournament if we wanted to do that. Any other ideas or volunteers to host a night would be great, but if there is sufficient agreement / interest, I"m happy to arrange one of those above. Any suggestions on what people would want to play? tournament or cash? What about buys in"s/blinds? Suggestions very much appreciated.

I"ll probably be at gala on Saturday for the first time in a while.
Could also probably do a home game at mine but difficult to schedule at the moment as quite busy and my partner is 7 1/2 months pregnant, but I"ll give it a think.

I"m up for this. Can"t host a home game but could run somert down the pub. Also up for Gala but not this w/e as already busy shopping for kids birthday prezzi. Would also attend home game but would have to be fri/sat for me.

Well at least there seems to be some interest. I"ll try and make the Gala on Saturday, but it"s the start of a weeks holiday so I might not be able to swing it. What time does the tourney start at Gala on Saturday?

It starts at 5.00 / 5.15, Its a £20 + £5 buy in 5000 chips and a 25 minute clock with 1 re-buy or add-on, so it"s a £40 comp with 10,000 chips. Plus it has 2k added money. Gets about 250 runners  

looks like I won"t be able to make it now (blame the Mrs) A prior engagement that she has made for us, probably could get out off it but with going to Coventry the weekend after, don"t won"t to push my luck.(I will need all that for Coventry)

Sunday roast at G in Sheffield is a good tourney. Last Sunday of month £55 for 10k stack £40 for 1 more stack in 1st 4 levels ( 2 hour ). We did a deal 4 handed at 420am and it starts at 4pm so it"s a grind. It uses GULIPT structure but 30 min levels. 115 and 124 runners in 2 month it"s been running so 1st is £3k ish. Trouble is its on a Sunday and wifi is pants in there.

I"m running a game at pub on sat may 5 in my local. It in Mexborough near Rotherham/Doncaster about 10-15 playin so far. U guys are all welcome. Will post Facebook link when up.

Wish I could Ronaldo! I"m away in Amsterdam with the family this weekend, which means Sunday game is also out for me.

I will be going to Gala in Leeds on the 26th if anybody would like to meet up. Its £20 + £5, 5000 chips with 1 re-buy/add on, basically a £40 comp 10,000 chips. It gets around 250 runners, first prize around £2500 / £3000
