I found a great deal for the trip for those that prefer a hotel over a villa.

Expedia are offering 5 night in "The Residences" in Vilamoura from most UK airports for around £220 all in. (plus transfers)

This is a new and quite s****y development, just a 5 euro cab ride from the Marina and Casino. There are a large number of hotels in the centre, but not all are of this standard.

Trying to get a posse together for this at the moment, will post when finalised, the Hammers are away to Newcastle that weekend so not much difference in the mileage one way or the other.  ;D

Surely Newcastle is the best option? You may lose but at least you are guaranteed 90 mins of action and play will go on past 2.36pm  ;)
