Surely this belongs in the general staking discussion. Not sure putting this on wayne"s staking thread is that helpful for him. I"m sure stakers aren"t so naive that they don"t know the risks.

Perhaps so but insofar as this is the first request and is not only a one off but also at a substantial premium I thought it best for it to go here rather than being lost in the weeds of the general discussion

I certainly wasn"t intending to jeapordise Wayne"s request (which fortunately didn"t happen) but a comment to protect potentially unaware investors is just an ounce of prevention.

Quite possibly...probable even but at the moment there is no "explanation" of premiums and the like on the Staking Board. I know blonde has one...perhaps it could be adapted and added to the guidelines?

Anyway...disruption was not my intention....just a modicum of caution for the unwary or novice stakers.

This is the first time I have asked for staking so this is very much a trial and error operation. I will learn from this and adjust my asking in the future. You could say I was lucky, with this being the first, it has got a novelty aspect to it. But it has caused allot of discussion

Well done on getting the full stake , had a giggle to myself while reading the thread and thinking this is just like dragons  den - reducing and splitting % between each other to come to a deal lol.

will watch with interest as have only ever staked once before in UKIPT edinburgh and got a decent return , so may look at taking this up more often.

When I collect my few grand I won"t care about the premium paid, which amounts to the price of a couple of pints. If I collect nothing Wayne will probably buy me a couple of extra pints anyway so win-win.

For me its all about the APAT community and if others want to take it too seriuosly then there are plenty other sites to do your BAP*

*I have no idea if I used that in the correct context but I really don"t care.
