Couple of queries re the structure of the team event please.

1: The original post (quoted below) states 6 handed STTs with a 2:30 start on the Friday - the player briefing states 9 handed STTs with a 5:30 start. I presume the format has been revised since the original post, but just wanted confirmation of start time to ensure nobody misses out.

Phase 1 - Day 1 - 2.30pm

8 x 6 player No Limit Hold Em Sit & Go Matches - 3,000 chips - 30 minute clock
1st - 5pts, 2nd - 4pts, 3rd - 3pts, 4th - 2pts, 5th - 1pt, 6th - 0pts
Each country will participate in 4 Sit & Go Matches

2: The structure for points in the player briefing doesn"t look right.... per quote below, 1st gets 9 points, 2nd gets 8 points, down to 8th gets 1 point and 9th gets 0 points..... that doesn"t add up. If it"s a sliding scale where 1st gets 9 points, then 8th should get 2 points and 9th should get 1 point.

Quote

Day One

5:30pm 4 x 9 handed NLHE STT   (1st=9pts, 2nd=8pts........8th=1pt, 9th=0pts)
8:30pm 4 x 9 handed PLO STT   (1st=9pts, 2nd=8pts........8th=1pt, 9th=0pts)

Looks very much like three teams have withdrawn from the tournament.

1.  I believe Des posted that based on the WCOAP structure and the anticipated 12+ teams.  Instead we have gone for a later start on the Friday, which helps out DTD, means players aren"t playing in a 3/4 empty cardroom and will also give players more flexibility for travel arrangements and hotel checkin etc.

Apologies if this is a late change, I wasn"t even aware we had publicised any start time,  and has impacted on peoples plans.

2.  Good spot, have amended player briefing

The European Amateur Team Championship will be played as part of the ECOAP festival at Dusk Till Dawn on August 24th & 25th.  Competing countries are as follows:-

England
France
Germany
Italy
Malta
Northern Ireland
Poland (defending European Champions)
Portugal
Republic of Ireland (European Champions 2008)
Scotland
Spain
Wales (World Champions 2010 & 2011, Home International Champions 2011)

The STTs were originally 6 x 8 = 48 players = 12 teams

Now the STTs are 4 x 9 = 36 players = 9 teams

Are there three teams still unconfirmed ? Just wondering...

I"m not sure if this is the right place, but I would just like to thank the APAT guys for a brilliantly run Team Event.  I have played a few weekend festivals before, but having teammates to cheer on, and the banter between teams, adds a lot of fun.  I know there must have been a mountain of work to get it running so smoothly.

Hope to see you all at some future APAT events.
