Actually mate, I think that might qualify as a bad day.

Hope things look brighter soon, that they find your stuff and you get loads of compo. See you in Stoke.

Run better  8)

Have ran better. Have new suit, couple of work shirts, polo shirt, under clobber, belt, shoes etc etc. All for $350. Bargain.  Have made a new friend in a taxi driver who"d been to Kent once in the 70"s as well as Russia. He said he preferred Russia. So although he has no clue what I"m talking about (he said that I sound more Australian than British) and nods a lot its all good.

Although Fresno is nothing like Vegas at all.. other than its in America.. made me smile when my mate the taxi driver came back and picked me up out side the Cheesecake Factory  :) Memories.

Thought I"d try logging into poker.co.uk client to play tonights game, not actually thinking the client would work from over here. It did, was happy days, logged in and went to register. Forgetting that although its lunch time over here.. its not back home  :-\ Meh.. its the thought that counts.

This looked like the plan for this afternoon... BUT its Sunday. Plan to visit tomorrow night though. Midgets. Running a bar? Does it get any better? Happy days. *edit* its only open from Thursday. I"m flying home Wednesday. FML.

Got some ideas:

Dare I admit I love this song  :-[

Safe and successful travels

I love this song too... karaoke.. Portugal?  ;D

Safe & happy travels :-) -xXx-

Thanks Shaz.. you want more biscuits bringing back ?  :-* look forward to seeing your special biscuit trick in Stoke  :D

Went to a parents evening last night for Anna"s first ever school trip away which is in January and skiing.. we had the head teacher stand up for half an hour about the resort etc.. then another hour + from a local shop flogging skiing clothing.. all very informative.. but I was zoned out. I had a different agenda for being there. I was sat at the back with Anna.. giving each boy who glanced over to her the "don"t you even fecking dare come within 1 mile of my daughter when you"re over there or you"ll be wishing you HAD broken your legs skiing... I can make it look like an accident" stare.

There"s another meeting in the new year just before they go I think. By then I"ll have perfected my maniacal twitch... mr baseball bat may make an appearance for added effect  ;)

Only if they are cheap and wearing the necessary wrapping please Phil, and you manage to keep your luggage on the way home :P

If When you are drunk enough, you"ll love the trick, think Anna will too so I"ll bring some for you to take home, still no sign of orange chocolate hobnobs in Liverpool tho....sorry hunni.

So its goodbye to California.. and what a ****ty trip its been, but on the brightside :

1) I"m leaving in 30 minutes.

2) Free breakfast this morning was called "meat explosion"  ;D

3) I discovered (3 days too late) that they have a happy hour of free food and beer last night. Yes free beer. I made up for lost time there. Although the waitress said it was bad form to line multiple beers up on my table.

4) My baggage finally turned up last night.. suit the lot. Yes it was too late for any of my meetings. But its here just in time to put back on a series of planes with the forever optimism it"ll be there waiting for me in Newcastle tomorrow afternoon.

5) I have a new gay friend. Apparently the chinese man who chatted to me for 10 hours on the way over, who I exchanged email addresses with turns out to be gay. Who"d have thought it. Looking back.. that he was from San Francisco.. he lived with his mother.. and he"d never been married.. no kids.. and was wearing hotpants (ok not quite) should of set off the alarm bells. Hey ho. He wants to come over and visit next year  :-\ Still.. you can never have enough friends. Even if by the sounds said friends do want to play hide the sausage.

So first flight is at 12:30 (its 9:50am ish now).. then Salt Lake.. Paris.. then Newcastle. Happy days x

OH and I have some celebrating to do... picked for England C team.. and what a team it is. Congratulations to everyone who were picked. Can"t wait to see everyone. First up is Portugal. Going to be an epic November for sure x

So I"m dosed up on anti biotics and pain killers. Since coming back from California my face, throat and inside of my nose all swelled up.. and I developed the most delightful looking sores all over my face. Straight to the docs who looked at me and went "ooooooh dear".. never a good start. Basically over tired, run down, stress and approx 50 hours of flights / travelling time with the air con blasting my face took its toll. Straight to bed. And sleeeeeeeeep.

Got a couple more days of anti biotics then have to go back for blood tests.. when I mentioned this wasnt possible to do due to a certain trip to Portugal I got the old "you"re an idiot" look and roll of the eyes. Hey ho. What doesnt kill you makes you stronger right?  ;D

So feeling a bit better today, (apart from a sharp stabbing pain in my right temple.. putting this down to lack of beer, not had a beverage for a week now) have a cracking beard forming due to not being able to shave, sores seem to fading (apologies dear reader if you read this during a meal haha) and should be good to go by tomorrow. If not. Feck it. I"m still going.

5 days away with some of my most favorite people ever... wouldn"t miss it for the world x

You want a postcard sending Paulie?   ;)

Will miss you mate.. get you a beer in Stoke.

Actually on the subject of Stoke my usual good timing has kicked in here.. my dad (I"m not a great fan.. long story, but has been mentioned in previous posts) rings me up saying that he"s been invited to his brothers 80th party which starts with "mass" (joy) in S****horpe at noon and then a "finger buffet" after on the Saturday (double joy!) and asked me for a lift as he doesnt drive anymore (Im not even sure if I"m invited or just the chauffeur)  Completely forgetting the date... I agreed.... ERROR. So am now having to attend an APAT event for one day only (the Friday) and stay COMPLETELY SOBER... and then drive back home on the Friday evening (well after we"ve won the heads up anyway around midnight). FML!

Any suggestions that can get me out of this situation much appreciated. Sober. At an APAT. Makes me want to cry  :"( x
