Another 42 for you

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/proginfo/2013/10/bluestone-42.html

The synopsis
" an eight-part comedy drama about a British bomb disposal detachment in Afghanistan"

Well worth a watch, it"s one of those "that shouldn"t be funny but is" programmes that BBC 3 seems to be in a golden vein of form on.

Here"s another

It"s now 11:20 and in 4hrs 2minutes I"ll be at t"Eagle

;D thanks to everyone with their 42 stories.. had a great long weekend, enjoyed the Yarm invasion immensely on the Thursday night, great to see everyone, goes to show what a fantastic community we have and lasting friendships can grow from this daft game we all play. That people travel the length and breadth of the country to come upto our little part of the world continually amazes me.. and now some have even been more than the once amazes me even more :)

Drinking from the afternoon until 3amish was never going to end well sober wise, and I finished 4th in the home game.. going out to a call by Gary Palmer in his BB with his K9 beating my pocket 7"s shove.. fairly standard and no doubt I"d got incredibly lucky to get to last few anyways.. not that I remember. Guinness by the bucket load, with side orders of shots and cocktails tends to blur the memory somewhat.. but funny how you always remember when you lose  8)

Weekend was then spent up in Edinburgh with Lilly with even more cocktails to be had, spending Saturday night going through a full menu at a fantastic place called the Dome on Georges street. Not the cheapest place in the world with a pair of drinks being 20 quid+ a go.. but we went through the full menu pretty much. Sunday was a trip to the zoo to see the UK"s only pandas followed by more drinking and much merriment through and around the Grassmarket.. all good preparation for this weekend at DTD.

Only going to be there Sunday and Monday, which.. hopefully will end me playing in just the one tournament if all goes well, but if not will give the heads up a go even though the past 2 years I"ve sworn never again.

Good luck to one and all in the mean time, and special good luck to my mate Stu playing for England for a 3rd time.. hoping he finally manages to find his lucky England shirt and run well.

Looking forward to seeing everyone down there, you"re all a top bunch of people you know. Will have a endless supply of man hugs at the ready, will see you at and around the bar from Sunday lunch time x
