A good few years back I remember going out drinking with a mate in his twenties when I was in my mid to late 30"s and him telling me.. "God, you"ve only got a good few years left and then you"re proper f*cked". Seems that he wasn"t far from the truth

We managed a mini home game last night at what used to be Rileys, now called the "Players Lounge" in Stockton. Very nice it was too, decent(ish) music, beers and banter. Stu Ward, Gary Palmer, Gary Motson and my good self. I was definitely the value. Think we managed 3 or 4 "turbos" over numerous beers. Same story in each for me, played reasonably well, chipped up. Spaffed off in style in the shove or fold levels. Was a great night in good company though.
The home games have suffered for numerous reasons this year, this was the first in over 2 months I think, which for something that was weekly isn"t good... and there was only 4 of us. Hoping that we can keep the dying embers fanned a little while longer. I do miss them.
APAT wise.. Glasgow is a no go for me unfortunately. Work commitments meaning I"ll be missing out on one of my favourite places to go and play. Still remember last years trip which was tremendous fun... did I ever tell you I got charged 37p to just go into a shop?
To all going there this year, enjoy. Will be missing it very much x
