APAT ECOAP Team Event - Live Update
« on: August 24, 2012, 08:01:09 AM »
Join us from 5:30pm on Friday for Day 1 of the APAT European Amateur Team Championship, live from the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in the heart of the vibrant city of Nottingham in the UK.

Live updates over the four days of the European Championship of Amateur Poker should provide an eclectic mix of updates, information, photos, and stories that is pitched somewhere between the Olympic Torch Relay and a Radio 1 Roadshow.

To kick things off for today, you can join myself, Leigh "Chipaccrual" Wiltshire and Matt "Wake me up before you board board" Dale to take you through the first day of the European Team Event along with the first of three side events, the European Amateur Stud Championship.

All the side events over the weekend will be updated on the Side Event Update Thread and there will be a dedicated thread for the Main Event which starts on Sunday.

I"ll be driving up to Nottingham this afternoon, but Matt said he had made other arrangements for getting to DTD.

In the meantime, here"s a little predictor competition.

9 Teams Competing

Give us your top three in any order and as a tiebreaker, the individual player you think will score the most points for their team.

If you get the top three right, you"ll be in with the chance of some APAT merchandise (Gives me an excuse to order some more stuff  ;D )

So, if you think defending European Team Champions from 2009 Poland

will be battling it out with current World and UK Team Champions Wales

and you think the tracksuited team from Portugal with the enormous flag might be there aswell

Then you would post

Poland
Wales
Portgual

With your choice of individual scorer for the tiebreaker (i.e  Steve Redfern - England)

Good Luck

Thank you Mr Prew.  We"ve just got to make sure we don"t drop the baton before we hand it over to our best updater on the anchor leg.   ;)

I"m the old dog, and you"ve got new tricks, and a co-updater who hopefully has good Sports Injury insruance

Enjoy.
