Having enjoyed all of the blogs on here over the past few years, I guess it"s time to start one of my own.

I "ve had some time to reflect this week on poker and life in general, as I"ve been laid up in, and now out of, hospital after having an arthroscopy done to my left knee. Not quite as bad as it sounds, mildly inconvenient should cover it really, but my consultant did suggest that a loss of bulk might be in order to assist in the re-habilitation going forward.

Then I looked at my schedule over the next few months.

21-23rd September     Ger"s summer fest
4th -7th October        Invasion Yarm
13th-15th October      APAT Glasgow
8th- 13th November    A poker trip to the Algarve
30th Nov - 2nd Dec     APAT Stoke

hmmm..., coulda timed this better I guess, still onwards and upwards. M&S fuller longer meals and fruit and veg to the fore, head down and don"t feed the winger!!!!

Sadly you are correct. Will have the odd weekend "off" here and there, but have a bike on order to help things along a bit. Fingers crossed

Just had a note from eBay congratulating me on winning the bike!!!!!

It does appear though, on second viewing, to have a very small saddle

Up early this morning, well 8.30 is early for me, as am having car serviced. Knee is throbbing a bit and a bit of standing around didn"t really help, but all done for £125 so all good.

The sun is out and we have T20 cricket, F1 qualifying and a bit of footie on so not too bad. BBQ will prolly get an airing this evening.

Just watching the Olympic parade through London and have this overwhelming feeling of pride for all of the athletes and the country as a whole. By God we are good at doing these things.

I assume that Yarm will look a little simliar when the APAT contingent arrive in a few weeks time
