Not sure what you want to do the night before the flight but theres a decent Weatherspoons in Horley which is 5 minutes in a cab from Gatwick. The Jack Fairman is its name.

I am up for heading over here for food (mixed grill ftw) and then back to the hotel for a quiet(ish) night before the madness of Thursday. What are people opinions?

I hadn"t...I"ve been compiling a little (!) list of places that I"d like to visit (whether you lot are interested or not). Some have already been mentioned but I may reference them again...just for the sake of completeness.

In no specific order:

Twin Peaks (planned for Saturday)
McMullans (planned for Saturday AND Sunday)  
Frankie Tiki Room (planned for Sunday)

Bloody Mary Tour (planned on an ad-hoc basis...i.e. if we are anywhere near)
Carmines (Any day bit I will need some help here...at least 3 others I think.)

777 Brewpub at Main Street Station - Oooh, that"s handy.
Insert Coins - Downtown (Thursday or Friday)
Hogs & Heifers - as above
Backstage Bar & Billiards - As above
Park On Fremont - as above

Hash House a Go Go - Oh, there"s one in the Plaza on Main street you say!?
Hofbrauhaus - Because  I love a good sausage...oh, wait!
Fogo de Chao  - Because you  can"t beat a good Brazilian...oh, wait...DAMN IT!

Hmmm....minor hassle.

Just discovered MSS doesn"t have in-room internet...now I"m a connected kind of fella and while I could manage, I"d be in withdrawal pretty damn quick.

Considering moving to the California (which is opposite and connected to MSS).

A few dollars more but still Boyd Gaming and with in-room interwebz capability.

This beefy dish is the Porterhouse Contadina ($85.95), a 45 oz. sliced porterhouse steak, sweet Italian fennel sausage, onions, peppers and potatoes. There may have even been a couple Fiats buried in there somewhere. And, no the price isn"t typo. Spilt four ways that"s a $21.48 entree, six ways $14.32. Of course, those 4-6 diners better all like meat.
