I"ve been in Vegas at thanksgiving , believe it or not but allot of it closes (or scaled down) but the day after it goes mad.

I agree. Avoid Thanksgiving if you can.

I didn"t notice much difference. If anything it was a bit quieter on the day itself and obviously you had the sales the day after if you fancied some shopping.

Vegas planning summit in Yarm on the Feb trip aiming for going out on 7th Nov. Trigger will be pulled in Feb.

Go with the flow, don"t rearrange around us. We"re aiming for 12th-28th (or in that area anyway) so if we match, we match. Ours are dependent on upgrades to Business or I"m not allowed to go cos she won"t fly 9+hrs in Economy!

Virgin "Sale" now on covering Vegas to end of November.

Not seeing a huge amount of value for Vegas at the moment.

Unconfirmed:

Virgin are suspending their Manchester to Vegas route between Nov 2013 and March 2014.  Anyone who has already booked is being put on the Gatwick flights instead.  Also heard that flights this winter are being merged where possible, so plane is taking off from Gatwick and picking up passengers in Manchester and then on to Vegas.

There is a contradiction in there though.

I can see that their SPECIFIC flights ONLY starting at MAN are off BUT the second statement seems to indicate that there will be SOME flights from MAN, they will just start at LGW.

Did some searches last night for MAN-LAS in Nov and direct has gone from the 2nd part of the month onwards. Plus it"s fecking expensive compared with normal.
