The indirect flight means we get a stop and can get things like food during this instead of having to eat and drink on plane.

Maybe but during that "stop" you will have to go through Immigration, Customs...the TSA etc.

Just make sure there is plenty of time between flights...3 hours would be best although 2 is my absolute minimum and that was before 9/11.

Veterans Day weekend is fun, the place is full of US military, especially the Marines who love going out in their dress uniforms.

You"ll here "Thank you for your service" quite a lot....

Oh yeah, that"s a point
My personal preference would be a direct flight tbh, then you can sort all that stuff out in Vegas and get on it asap.

Are there direct flight from Manc and I am just missing them somehow? Have just fired off as mail to Virgin Atlantic to see what the deal is and if there is likely to be.

If you decide to do the overnight at LGW the night before (and I will anyway)...I can suggest some spots.

I will almost certainly do this.

Would be good to get the same flight for banter purposes. I don"t think I can justify not getting a Virgin Flight due to the staff discount though. Although I need to check what it actually is these days (and if I still get it as VM is no longer owned by Virgin Group).

Connecting all over the USA don"t sound too good either, would be knackered by the time we get there :-/

I"ve been looking over my options considering how few vacation days I have to play with.

I want two weeks so I may have to do 9th - Sat 23rd (arr. 24th).

I assume you guys are leaving Sat 16th (arr. 17th) so that would give me a full week with you unscrupulous bunch of layabouts and a week for my liver to recover and for me to return to some form of mental stability.

I need to be back in the country on the 16th November, so I has choices.

1. Join the degens and fly out 7th but depart earlier on the 15th
2. Leave a couple of days earlier to give myself more time in Vegas

Both probably from Gatwick...

Hmmm I wonder.......

Wairing on Ger / Massive

I believe planning meeting has been delayed. The select committee are meeting at The Eagle Public House in Yarm on 21st-24th March. I understand this issue is likely to be resolved at that point.

4 weeks today will be Invasion Eve.

7th to the 15th November is favourite for me and is hovering around the bag of sand for premium economy from Gatwick.

PS
Subject to board approval at the EGM next month I will book it.

PPS
Except of course if the price dips dramatically in the meantime then I will just fecking book it anyway
