Paulie pointed out the there were cheaper rates available by using a special Harrahs promo code, so I passed this on to the VIP desk. Whilst they are often unaware, purely due to the size of the organisation he tells me, he will honour the rates advertised. Therefore our rates are now as follows:-

Booked Harrahs, wasn"t looking very carefully and they took a deposit for the first night, which is fine. But they did slap a resort fee onto the total cost which includes Internet, Fitness Centre access for 2 (you are having a Giraffe) and free local calls (yeah right I will surely use this as well)

Have had it confirmed, in writing, from Harrahs that all bookings made after March 1st will be subject to the resort fee as per Ger"s post.

However, because I booked the holding reservation in February, anyone staying at Harrahs will NOT have to pay this unless they want too, as long as they quote our group reference.

My email to him was as follows:-

Just a couple of questions.

1. If for any reason we don't book 5 rooms, we may have 4 sharing a 2  x queen bed room for example, does that just mean that the rates stand, but we don't get the VIP services?

2. One of our group, Mr. Gerard Smyth, had enough TR points to get a few nights comp'd. He has booked from 7th to 15th November and has had a resort fee added to his account! Can you shed any light on this?

His reply was :-

If you only book four rooms we will keep the rate and I can still offer my services because you are a repeat guest : )

We do now charge a resort fee for any reservations booked after the first of March; your group will be excluded when they book using your code.

November 15th Delta from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. (my cousin and his family live there)

November 18th Delta from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas.

November 18th to November 23rd staying at Orleans

November 23rd BA274 from Las Vegas to Heathrow, again in Club World obv.
