Regretfully I cannot get "permission" to make this event.

Divorce would be an option - but avoiding for the sake of the children.

Seriously, financial and work commitments mean this isn"t gonna happen however much I want to go.

APAT Vegas III - 2015 I will be there. (*Subject to early date confirmation!)

Enjoy.

Pretty much...as a generality, there are two "major" times the APAT contingent will do Vegas.

June/July - for the WSOP experience, or

Oct/Nov/Dec - Just because it"s not so freakin" hot and we have all year to save.

FYI of course....oh...and pack an extra liver. Lightweights often overlook this basic consideration. :)

My plans are still evolving.

Harrahs is booked (9th - 15th inc.) and I booked the Orleans this morning (16th - 22nd inc.) and expect to book my flight v. soon pending some monies hitting the old account

I think i can swing the outbound flight on 7th and return 23rd for <£900 (Premium Economy) but that leaves me with a couple of days lodgings still to sort out.

Unfortunately, it would appear that there is a massive conference in town at the end of that week which has driven Strip prices sky high. Even the Casino Royale wanted of $140 a night FFS.

I"m still hoping to get a couple of freebies thanks to the MyVegas FB game but I suspect that availability will be limited. My options there are basically Excal or NYNY...both of which would be fine.

However, if that falls through, I have a couple of other cheaper options.

The Royal Resort for $59 a night (ish)

Not exactly close to the action but it is home to The Barrymore (see above re Bloody Marys) and basically opposite the Vegas Video Network studios...which might be entertaining.

Hooters for £40 a night (Hotels.com)

Certainly closer to the action and handy for the MGM poker room which i haven"t visited for a long while. Plus they are bound to have dirt cheap Pai Gow.

I think this will be my first fallback and it would only be for a couple of nights anyway plus it would add to my list of hotels I have stayed in.

What you used to know as the MGM poker room is now the buffet, and the Poker Room is now more of a Poker Area directly opposite. ess aich eye tee basically.
Unless it"s moved again since April 13.

Oh I know but from what I hear the eye-candy on Friday nights is pretty spectacular. :)
