You may just enter a ballot because there is no effort in it....

If you want to go, which I very much do, I have in the past put off going to a party till I had gone through the clickfest.. I explained in very simple terms to the wife how important it was to make it in....

Not bothered which days to be honest as long as I get in, but if I was to be fussy I would prefer the Sunday and Monday.....

I wonder if swaps would be allowed as long as agreed by the two parties included....Although I could see this causing a headache......Unless there was a deadline set, say a week before, after that no swaps allowed...

I reckon that the two Day 1s will be for the same duration or until a certain number of players remain.  At the Edinburgh tourney, we were less than a minute from ending day 1 when we were reduced to 20 players.  When we resumed the next day, we then played one hand before the blinds increased.

I hope that we get the option of choosing which Day 1.  Saturday would suit me fine and not just because Mark wants to play Sunday.  As I live in London, it will only take an hour on the train so I don"t need to stay over.

It would be good if there were live and on-line satellites but I would prefer a ballot rather than a click fest.  In the past, I have not been able to get to the computer at the set time.

The problem with a ballot is that people will be happy to enter a ballot just in case they can go. So it"s likely to have a higher number of people dropping out.

Whilst this is good for people on the reserve list who are then able to make it to the venue not all of us only live a single short train ride away so it discriminates against those who live too far away.

I think a small proportion of places through satellites and a first come first served "clickfest" is the right balance.

I agree, so long as the "click-fest" isn"t next week... as it would discriminate against those of us who are on holiday and will not have access to a computer.

i think everyone who has posted on this thread should have a seat reserved, i got a big weekend coming up so i will have to keep checking a computer when i can in a drunken state if its a clickfest, the location looks good, heres what ive priced up so far

Me and my uncle want to come up and that is really cheap for only booking 3 weeks in advance will only cost 150 quid each for travel and buyin, result. Now we just need seats and we can book up, dont ruin my incredible plans!

Remember, accordingly to some post before, the meeting is today...doesn"t mean the announcement will also be made today!

If it is, then I"d expect it to be this evening or Friday morning..but then, what to I know?

how about those that live over a hundred miles away get to play on sunday to save on overnight accomadation.

I live over 150 miles away if I play on the Saturday, I will travel on the day if I was lucky enough to get to play on the Monday I will have Sunday to relax. It would be cheaper to do that than book a room for 2 nights

I think it"ll be announced tomorrow, or at the earliest, late this evening.

It"s like 4am xmas morning as a kid. You"re awake, but you can"t open your presents until your parents are up (and they only got to bed at 3am).

But it"s worth waiting for in the end.

The suspense is killing me, if its a clickfest announce it before 3pm tomorrow as i get paid fortnightly and got paid last week, so only half my money left, will need to put aside 150 to book up room train and buyin before i blow it in the pub and the bookies over the weekend

Meeting held and we are on track to get the European announcement out tomorrow eve (at work during day).  All being well we will put the Season 2 announcement out on Saturday.  The Season 1 World Amateur Championship press release will go out when we have a final player list for the European event.  There is a lot to look forward to.
