APAT Poker ROOM
« on: September 15, 2012, 22:42:30 PM »
I hate this site

Have been playing it for about a month, there are so many people hitting hands that it rewards the fish. I don`t know how the hands are programmed but it appears it is set up to get every one throwing their chips in. for example all in with KK called by 3 people cards go over and show JJ AQ and A4. A hits on the flop, J hits on the turn and A4 gets their flush on the river.

There are some things about it that I don"t like:

- The button isn"t very obvious. Several times I have been looking for the button during a hand and couldn"t tell which seat it was at first.

- It isn"t very obvious whose turn it is, especially when someone takes a long time and the outer circle changes from coloured to grey.

-When you look at the previous hand, it comes up in a giant window that obscures the tables. Caused me to time-out fold once but it is a pain apart from that.

I hate the fact that I can"t keep multiple table lobbies open at same time.

I went out of the Irish Online Championship tonight with AK v AJ.

The flop came A high, all the chips went in for a huge pot (would have put me about 3rd in chips with 30 odd players left) and a J came on the turn!

At this point I was so disgusted that I...........................
................. took a deep breath, typed "gg" and "gl guys" in the chat box!

Online poker must be rigged.... Hold on! I"ve also lost this way in live games.... Live poker is rigged too, obviously!

Pointless "Internet poker is rigged" post.

If it rewards the fish, why are they 2/3/4k in the red and why are the same players making finals and showing big profits?

Apologies if anyone felt the tourneys were running slow last night with a lot of time lags.

I was busy fixing the decks for all of the tables.  We have looked into one of these fandangled Random Number Generator systems to randomly deal the cards in a completely random manner, but to be honest, it"s not as much fun for us.

;D

On a serious note, every site gets their fair share of "its a fix" posts and discussion, and we"ll be no different.  Some sites you seem to win on, others you don"t.  If you recorded every hand and looked at the statistics, you"d find that the cards will fall in a similar fashion on all of the sites.

But, that won"t stop people from discussing it, and we certainly won"t stop such discussion.

I just find these threads disrespectful (though I"m sure none is intended) to the game I love.

Me too. Very much.

Boss network has a lot of faults, and we should be debating those, not this.

Completely agree Dave.

It"s also good that you refer to it as BOSS, because these faults are a network issue and nothing to do with APAT.

I always remember Matt recounting tales of BOSS meetings and trying to raise these issues on behalf of the players. It was a constant battle with a brick wall.
