Scotland have taken a quick two point lead in the Gold match, with Tom Clark beating Paulie Davis, followed shortly after when Naz Wrigley beat Mattie Ward.  Tough position for England now.  Chris Kelly is currently heads up with James Barber, with the Championship at stake.

...no sooner said than done, as cries ring out across the cardroom we can report that Chris Kelly has defeated James Barber heads up, giving Scotland B the United Kingdom Home International Championship, by a score of three to nil versus England C.

An outstanding performance by the Scots; captained by Davie Blacklaw, who led from the outset throughout the day, and delivered on that performance in the sudden death format of the final round.

And the bronze medal match is over too.

JP Round beat Gordon McArthur and Matt Carter beat Grant Speirs to confirm a 3-0 win for England B.

well done Scotland B on an emphatic win.

Wp Stu and the boys for Silver and JPs Heros for winning bronze.

The heads up play off threw up no surprises with the higher ranked team winning each one, so no West Germany 1974 sob story for the Scots this time.

Shame about the lack of updates regarding hands/banter etc.. but can appreciate that running the competition was a bigger priority

Massive congrats again to Davie and the Scotland B team. An amazing performance all day, consistently awesome! Also congrats again to the England B and C teams on their medals, again really well played.

Was great to be a part of such a great tournament again. Incredibly proud captain, all the Scotland A team played well and whilst it was not our day, really enjoyed playing with them all and hope that Grant and GiMac make a deep run in the ME today.

Thanks as always to Des and Leigh for a great day and a great tournament!

This was fantastic.

Really pleased and proud of my team and most of all thank you APAT for selecting me as a Captain in the first place!

Congratulations to Scotland B, England C and well done to all of the other teams for making it such a great event.
