When I was in Vegas I wandered down to the
IP Quad and Harrahs for a look around. The Quad is still in the middle of it"s renovation, with scaffolding outside and different entrances. I couldn"t even find the reception area although I didn"t try too hard. As much as I love the IP, I"d say it"s best avoided until the modernisation is complete.
Harrahs is still fine, although one observation is that the Poker Room has been demolished and poker now takes place in the open casino further down the gaming floor. Not sure if this is permanent but I liked the old room which was enclosed. Apart from that it looked the same as ever and there was a nice bit of music going on in the bar with a couple of nice looking ladies doing a duelling piano act.
The world series is entering the final furlong and I can still get out of it as I"ve got 10% of Joe and Danny and a small piece of APAT's own Joe Carr-Hill. For me it"s been back to work this week but I"m hoping to make the next APAT at Cardiff and hoping to get the Friday off to ensure the normal preparation
