I"ve not read all the threads so apologies Des if this has been answered already, however...

I think it would have been better to NOT allow people to buy in direct or reserve a seat for £5 until after the satellites had finished.

Surely that would have increased the numbers in the sat"s and benefited WH.

FFS, I play a flush draw fast in the very first hand of the rebuy, bust out and there is no option to buy back in.

Every time William Hill is involved, there"s a screw-up.

LOL

£5 freeze out.

16/1 shot to get a seat. May as well have used the £5 to reserve.

You could also force everybody to qualify through satellites and not allow any direct buy in option - it would increase the satellite entries and make more money - but it wouldn"t be a good idea.

This is for entry to a live tournament - I don"t see any reason why there should be any penalty for anyone who doesn"t want to play online to get there.

I"m not suggesting penalising anyone. But if 160 had bought in direct as soon as it opened the satellites would have been null and void.

No one likes playing online less than I do but I played this evenings sat to support APAT and its partner for this event.

Also I believe that APAT events should be open to all players even those with very limited funds who cannot afford the £82.50

I don"t think that"s entirely true...AFAIK satellite seats have always been in addition to the online direct buy-in tank.

Apologies guys, it would appear that tonights Rebuy has been setup as a Freezeout.

I can assure you that last time I checked, it was definitely showing as a rebuy, but clearly something has been changed at William Hill"s end of things.

I am just writing a polite email to find out how this error could have happened, as clearly a 1 in 17 shot is a fairly pointless satellite to run.

I think I didn"t explain my point very well.

I 100% wanted to guarantee myself for Cov but if (however unlikely) all the seats had been sold by £5 reserve or direct buy in then I could have missed out by waiting to play the sats.

If the seats had been selling very fast, like they used to, then I"d have had no option but to reserve and miss the sats for fear of missing out.

If the sats were first it would mean I could relax and play them safe in the knowledge that i could still buy in as soon as the holding tank opened.

Kind of you Des but don"t worry about mine. As soon as I busted I went and paid the £5.

I"m p"raps being thick, but please can you confirm whether there"s still a direct buy-in window, or is it now a case of paying the fiver to reserve?

Cheers

Obviously I understand the argument both ways - but my point is that if people have the option of seat reservation, direct buy in or satellite - a certain proportion of them won"t choose the satellite option.

If you take away the other two options and that results in the satellite numbers going up it means you must have made some people enter when they don"t really want to - hence you"re penalising them.
