IMO the team events that finished with an MTT have been far more exciting and enjoyable than those that finished with HU. The large number of possible outcomes and strategies needed to negotiate a very complex final and, indeed, last two tables made for some intriguing and hugely entertaining situations, especially for spectators. Much more enjoyable to climax with those than with than sterile HUs.

I was much against the HU option and still am.

It always struck me in that it monstrously favoured the underdogs. The winningest team could be romping away with a massive points lead and then only take silver because they lost 3 out of 5 HU matches.

If we revert back to the MTT finale then a fighting finish is needed. Perhaps only points for the final table?

That should ensure that everyone actually fights for it and then it"s just a matter of getting the final points balance allowed for the MTT right.

I like how the world cup of poker is/was run, teams playing sit n go"s to accrue a stack for the final table where only the top 8 or 6 teams qualify for. One player then plays until a "tag" or enforced swap occurs and somebody else plays. When your out your teams out, also liked that each team had a time out where they could ask their team mates but it wasnt that well used when someone had gone all in and they took their time out with aces ...

More info on the Vegas Tourney would be great. I would like to play for the Graham Barkworth Foundation. All funds will be donated to the family.

Michael.
