The APAT UK Team Championship will be fully dealer dealt and played over two days at the G Casino in Blackpool, on July 19th & 20th. 

The entry fee per player will be £50 and no registration fee will be charged.  All of the entry fees will be returned in prize money and there will be an added GUKPT seat for the individual tournament winner; in addition to prize money for the top three finishing forums.  The owner of the winning forum will win an additional £1,000 prize, the Forum Championship Cup and the right to call their community the premier poker playing forum in the UK.

The event will be run to the normal APAT tournament structure, with each player receiving 10,000 chips, on a 40 minute clock.  The final fifty players will earn ranking points towards the Forum Championship.  Teams will be made up of ten players.

The following forums have expressed an interest in competing, with further communities to follow:  

A World of Poker

Furness Poker
Gambling.co.uk
Gutshot
London Poker Meetup
Punters Lounge
Raise The River
The Hendon Mob
The Poker Posse
Time For Poker
FISO (TBC)
Newcastle Poker Forum (TBC)

Forums should appoint a captain and can apply to enter a maximum of two teams by the closing date of June 22nd.  Final player selections will need to be confirmed by June 29th.

This event is expected to one of the most competitive hosted by APAT and forums are encouraged to organise team shirts and get into the spirit of what is certain to be an outstanding weekend in Blackpool.

Can I suggest that you create a Captains Only Thread for team posting and communications, AWOP did this for their team challenge and it worked a treat

That should be fine Mark, we"d welcome LIP.  That said, we will need to do a recce on the number of entries we"ve taken to date and we"ll do that on returning from our Irish Amateur Championship on Monday.
