Cash tourn was good fun. Still needs some tweaks but that"s what the event was for.

Was £1 behind the eventual winner with 3 hands to go, raise J9, just need the blinds to go ahead. Villain calls with 97, flop 97x. Sigh.

We are underway here in Coventry - theres still a few late entrants buying so we are gonna be very close to maxing out - but FIRST HAND we lose a player - and yes, as you would suspect, it is KK v AA that are the hole cards - sadly its APAT favourite Paul Davis (PaulieD) who held the Kings - and he could find no help from the board - and we lose Paulie straight away. Jon Laight being the benficiary of Paulie"s chips.

That kills Paulie"s tight image and starts the old folding KK early in a tournament debate.

Action on Table 7 as Nish Pnadiplueman almost "does a Paulie"...but this time his KK is in good shape against the QQ of Chris Webber. Chris avoids going pop....but loses half his stack in the hand.

Table 5 action and Kevin Morris wins a nice hand with the nut flush - getting called on the river by a 9 high flush of Lynne Etches.

Table 7 is certainly full of action, still being in the first level - here, a river raise by Dan Dennehy is enough to get Kath Stevenson to fold on a   board, taking down about a 4k pot. No cards were shown

Over to Table 3 and a clash between (eventually) Mark Lassman and Tan Le Nhat

4 limpers to the flop which was   - Tan bets out but Mark re raises - the 2 other limpers get out the way - Tan makes the call.

The turn is   - Mark now leads out for 1200 - Tan calls.

River is   - Mark checks, Tan bets for 2200 - Mark tanks and then makes the call.

Tan shows   for a flopped boat - Mark mucking his cards but showing the   as he does.

Tan takes down a 6k pot

Table 9 and Edward Killworth decimates the stack of Peter Winter - a flop of K22 very nice when youre holding KK!

A 10k pot was built and scooped by Edward - leaving Peter feeling blue and down to around 3k.
