As Steve has stated there was plenty of time to change date last year ???

unfortunately only 4 days or so for this one so I can understand why it won"t be moved :-\ :-\ :"(

To me I wish that we had dates announced a lot earlier rather than a week as is the case with this on-line event
we all want to play as many tourneys as possible BUT APAT please try and announce dates with plenty of notice
This season seems to be crammed in with sometimes 2 events in a month which to me is unafordable and a bit stupid to be honest,  :P
We all have to work and arrange dates to play and so far this season it seems that APAT is trying to cram as many events as possible before xmas  and I for one can"t afford it  :"( :"(
Right grip over and good luck to all playing this weekend ;) ;)

The fact is that a precedent was set when a live event was moved to avoid a clash with a Chezger event in recent history.  Having set that precedent, this discussion was somewhat inevitable.

It was an online event which was moved steve, unless I am thinking of something else?

I"m sure the APAT event would have been moved if it hadn"t already been promoted - APAT would love to have the 30 or so BCPC players among this week"s runners. I think the lesson to be learned, if possible, is don"t leave it till the "last minute" to set the APAT events up.

BCPC, is maybe 20-25 players who also play APAT - APAT has several thousand members and I"d say 100-150 regular players both online and live.

When did an online main event get anywhere near 150?

Well put JP. And regardless of numbers in online MEs events in recent times if nothing else the £15 buy-in should guarantee a decent turn-out this time (BCPC folks notwithstanding - don"t want to open up that debate again  :) ).
