Friday 2nd August - Cardiff
« on: July 11, 2013, 21:19:02 PM »
Hi Everybody

Following on from the discussions from Coventry I was wondering what time people are planning on arriving on this date. With good weather forecast for the first week of August I think Cardiff Bay is the perfect place to spend the afternoon. So who will be up for this. We can cheerfully sit around and drink & eat in the sun or if people would prefer not to get on it hard to soon there are other forms of entertainment available in Cardiff.

I am thinking of heading into Cardiff Bay at 3pm and just letting it go from there. I reckon wait for everybody to arrive then get a taxi into town or just have a meeting place in town allowing people to head there when they want. Who will be around for and afternoon session by the river and do we yet have arrival times for this most important event?

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

We"re looking to arrive at the Travelodge near the casino no earlier than 5pm and probably have our drinking heads on no later than 6pm. Yes, snoozing heads will be on shortly after :)

Dunno about APAT, but Geo did the camping thing once for a blonde bash.  In the bushes at the side of a roundabout, next to the casino.  I know you"re adventurous, but...

FWIW.

Still seeing just-sub-£70 for Saturday night for some (few) hotels on Trivago.

£78 for Saturday in the PI Cardiff city South (where me and Curlarge are)

Other than that they are all in the £80+ region.
