iPoker have dropped a few Gte"s recently too - suspect it"s a weather related thing.

I noted a comment fromn Simon Trumper that they are suffering at DTD with low footfall due to the weather..... but kudos to them as they are maintaining all guarantees.

Many sites drop their guarantees this time of year, I think its fine when it is due to less traffic because of the Summer Sun. But at least some of the IPN lowering is because they were lolbad at anticipating how many runners they would get for their new schedule. Why would they think they could get 1000 entries for their Sunday Major when they could not achieve that when players paid no rake?

My issue with the 10k Sunday gtd is not the half of the guarantee but chopping the starting stack from 15k to 5k, which means they will get more re-entries cos it plays even more shallow than it did before. They also have the audacity to promise plenty of room to play from the 100bb starting stack. Find me anywhere else that has 100bb starting stacks for their biggest tourney?
Folk at IPN are probably happy and would change nothing because they met the guarantee this week, but honestly it was a crapshoot that I think will put off a lot of people so it wont meet the guarantee for that long.
Does the software allow for 2 hours late reg, if it did then they could do that and have a much better structured tourney.
