Wales 'A' Side for Home Internationals at Dusk til Dawn
« on: August 21, 2013, 10:23:02 AM »
The biggest of thanks to Steve Rodderick for the honour of letting me captain the Wales "A" side for the forthcoming UK Team Championships at DTD.

Steve and I have selected two teams of equal ability giving us two strong chances of success, the team i have selected is as follows;

Gavin Jones
Making his Wales debut and most importantly driving us all to DTD, my brother Gavin will make a valuable contribution to the team! ;)
Gavin has experience of playing APAT over the previous few seasons, he also does extremely well online, winning packages to GSOP Marbella and the WSOP Vegas in recent months.

Matt Roberts
Matt also makes his Wales debut, he is a big fan of the whole APAT experience having played Coventry and Cardiff already this season.
A big winner on the game show Goldenballs where he used his bluffing skills to great effect, im sure Matts enthusiasm for the game will inspire the whole team.

Darren Underhill
The third player to make his Wales debut, Darren has been an APAT regular for many years, he also played Coventry and Cardiff this season where he finished a creditable 16th place in the latter.
A great thinker of the game and his Omaha experience will be invaluable to the team.

Best of luck to all teams, hope you all enjoy the weekend :)

Nice one Warren, a very strong team there mate. Great news for Wales these guys are on our side.

I will just say, like Warren, I have great confidence in both of our teams and am sure both Welsh teams will be fighting it out at the top of the table to try to get into the medal matches. Wales have never played one which is really unbelievable. With the two teams going to Nottingham that could change this weekend.

The competition is very strong here and that is how we like it. Good luck again to all team competing and we will see you at DTD in about 50 hours time :-)

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.
