Frank Bailie beats Ger Smyth heads up.

1.0 Ireland B.

Frank can start to relax now, but decisions around a potential deciding playoff must still be in the back of his head.

Just had a quick chat with Dave Howard.

Ace Ten not good enough against Darren Shallis" pocket Sixes.  Despite the nut diamond draw on the flop, Dave couldn"t improve.

Queens lost to Stuart Oliver"s Ace Queen.

Tens then lost to Stu again, holding Kings.

Then Ace Nine against Nines.  Dave hits the Ace and Mo Sadiq hits the case Nine on the river.

Following a treble up, Dave finds his flooped top pair not good enough against Simon Smith"s limped pocket Queens.

This all took place within 14 hands...ouch and out.

And Ireland B have just beaten Ireland A to win the Home International Championship.

John Murray secured the vital third point, beating Ireland A captain Brian Frew.

Then a minute later Brendan Byrne won the final match, beating Kevin O"Hanlon.

A magnificent for captain Frank Bailie and his team, but equal congratulations to Ireland A for their Silver medal.

Finally, a very hearty well done to Kevin O"Hanlon for securing the individual leaderboard points win.
