Pub Poker Player Championship 2013 - PLAYER BRIEFING
« on: September 04, 2013, 09:52:26 AM »
APAT registered players for this event are advised/reminded of the following for this weekends Pub Poker Player Championship, along with a few updated bits of info:

CASINO

The main event will take place, on Saturday 7 September, at the Gala Casino, Bristol Harbourside, Bristol - full address is :

Gala Casino
Bristol Harbourside
Explore Lane
Bristol
BS1 5TY

There is FREE PARKING for Casino users - this is on Level 2 of the NCP attached to the Casino (clearly signposted). You should get your ticket at Level 2, take the lift DOWN to the groundfloor, which is the Casino entrance, then upon signing in with your membership, use the Lift to Level 4, which is the Casino itself. You redeem your Car Parking ticket via the Cashier desk in the Casino when you are about to leave.

You will need to be a Gala Casino member to access the Casino - you can do this on arrival at the Casino but you must have photo ID with you. Please adhere to the Casino dress policy, which is smart casual - jeans and trainers fine - football shirts of any description not permitted.

FRIDAY NIGHT EVENT

There will be, private to APAT/LPPL members, 2 tournaments operated - both commencing at 21:00 - 1 x No Limit Holdem Freezeout and 1 x Pot Limit Omaha Freezeout - max 40 runners in each - both running to the same clock. Buy in will be £20 + £2 for both events. First come first served basis. The Casino will be holding its usual Friday night tournament which all are welcome to play - this is a £30 freezeout with a 6k stack on a 20 min clock with £2k guaranteed. This starts at 19:30 with late regs available for one hour - reentries are also allowed.

The Casino will also operate a selection of Cash Tables.

2013 PUB POKER PLAYER CHAMPIONSHIP

Player registration will open at 12:00 - ALL PLAYERS will register at the player desk (hosted by Kim and MTS) to confirm their arrival. Players will NOT need to register with the Casino - just at the Registration Desk.

Any spare places that are available for buy in on the day will be at this Registration Point also - cash only and only at Tier 3 level (£30). THERE ARE STILL SPACES AVAILABLE TO PLAY.

At 13:45 registration will close and the Table Draw will be produced and displayed on the Casino screens. Players will be asked to take their seats immediately for a prompt 14:00 start - allowing for an introduction and redemption of "chip up" tokens so all start with the correct starting stacks. All players will be given a 5k stack upon seating, and then redeem the tokens to be increased to a 10/15k stack before commencement of play.

Unlimited rebuys are available for £10 (5,000 chips) with 1 double add-on available at the first break to all players (£20 = 10,000 chips). Rebuys are available as soon as your stack size is 5k or below.

A player MAY, if gone bust within the rebuy period, take a rebuy twice (so 10k for £20) in line with the above, straight away.

Upon resumption of play after the first break, the tournament becomes a freezeout and no further rebuys/addons are permitted. Once you are out, you are out.

All eliminated players MUST report to Kim at the Admin Desk for result recording (you may also tell her your bad beat story - she loves those!)

Prize money and places will be confirmed AFTER the first break and displayed on the tournament screen.

Deals for the cash are allowed but ONLY with unanimous agreement - if 1 player does not agree, the default structure remains in operation - no exceptions.
