JM 11/9 HAnd 1 Hit my house but how much value have I missed ?
« on: September 17, 2013, 14:53:59 PM »
What do you think of my actions on all turn and river ? Villain 15/10 over 52 hands.

My reasoning by checking the turn at the time was that there was a reasonable chance he was floating on the button, but now I think unlikely after ep raise and A high flop.

As hand played out what about bet sizing on the river ? My reasoning was that because I can virtually ignore the chance I am beaten, villain would only need to call river bet 20% as often as normal 30% pot bet for this move to be profitable. I now would put villains range mainly made up of Ax , JJ-88, made flush. I think he may call 50c for all holdings and possibly call 2.50 with made flush.  The fact he hasn"t call doesn"t of course make bet sizing wrong. What do you think ?

In general we keep betting till we encounter resistance, but in this instance, given the improbability that he has 44, we can refine that to...

Keep betting till it"s all in the middle or he folds.

I understand the check on the turn Mike, as if you bet, he folds every single time I would imagine. It feels like he has a middle pp, called on street to try and hit his set and folded.

If you bet the turn it just looks like you have an A, so it"s just really hard to squeeze any more money out here, but we should still be trying :)

Bet tiny on the turn and 1/2 pot the river I would say

Just bet bet bet here, there"s not much chance hero improves to a hand that can stand much action, hero either has a calling hand on the turn or not.

Barring an unlikely two outer on the river we"re stuck with the current value scenario as it stands on the turn.
