not sure I like this one so much Mark. From a stack of 30bb, I don"t think I like 3betting with a hand as weak as K8o (would actually prefer 78 than K8), given the certain knowledge that the original raiser will call, and we are going to have to cbet 100% of flops (and he probably knows that too).

With this stack size, I prefer to fold and wait for a better hand that I"m more willing to commit such a large percentage of my stack with.

i"d prefer K8 to 78 for 3betting.

Your choices are to give up or i"d bet slightly smaller (just over 2k), which should do the same job.
Looking forward to making my first day 2

This was my concern. Forgot to mention that my image was really really tight at the time.

K8 - blocker and all that. Felt like one of those spots where given my image and the way the action had gone, seems really unlikely that my C bet is a bluff.

The worry with going 1/3 pot as opposed to half pot is I want to make the SB fold hands like 77,88,99,1010. Feels like he is more likely to peel once for the price at 1/3 pot.

Dean"s got it nailed.

SB read dependent, pretty close between fire and give up without additional info.

I don"t really like K8o, but my fold pre % here is nowhere near 100% either, just one of those spots you can take now and again against the right opponents.

i would rather try and maintain some double up equity rather than a 3 bet with this hand from this stack. But anyway, i think the 3 bet is a little larger than it needs to be. And vs a decant reg with a big stack, he can 4 bet bluff you back because he knows you are either gonna fold or shove (with a stack of 30 bbs) and he can put some real pressure on you.

3 betting is good here against this opponent , though folding is fine with a hand like K8.

Once the SB (readless) cold calls, I need to flop well to continue here. If the HJ had been the only caller then cbetting is fine but I"d give up after that.

Sizing is fine pre and on flop but I would probably 3 bet a touch less (1650ish) and c bet a bit more less (2600ish as played) if I am being picky, though I agree with Dean that even less may get the job done.
