JM 1/10 Help how do I play flops in 3 bet pots.
« on: October 01, 2013, 22:49:18 PM »
Got 73 hands on villain. Seems to be aggro with stats of 31/25, with fold to 3 bet of 29% (2/7) .  Should I be flatting here pre and playing in pos or is 3 betting ok knowing he is likely to call with worse hands ?

Ok to check flop for pot control ?

Should I call the turn when I am beaten by any King and any 9 or is he likely to be bluffing with a big part of the range. If I call the turn do I have to be prepared to call river ?

Thoughts welcome.

Don"t mind flatting or 3 Betting, if i 3 bet i probably make it a little bigger.

As played i"m betting the flop

Think I bet flop, turn and river unless raised (in which case I fold)

As played I call turn and most rivers.

Villain has peeled most 3bs so difficult to narrow his range pre. A lot of his range will be smallish pairs and SCs with some broadway combos so it is close between barrelling 3 streets and checking/bluff catching IMO.

I prefer the former as it is good for your image to be seen to be barrelling a marginal hand. You are more likely to get big hands paid off later.
