I"ve no issues with the organisational side of things (I will be in Stoke Friday afternoon/evening and leaving Monday afternoon), my captaincy experience is limited and IMHO there are far better and more experienced candidates in the team, however I"m happy to go with the flow.

The fact that you dont speak English should rule you out automatically :p*

*Reckon you would be a decent captain actually

Is a chap from Boro more in command of the English language than a Glaswegian?  Haha

Cheers mate xx

Well the majority of us in the team aren"t English so maybe we can get lessons in Stoke ;D

I like the idea of us all just having a team chat before the game,
then putting in a performance that would have made Vaino proud.

If Don or Tom are happy to order the shirts, collect the entry fee and nominate an extra player then that would be great.

Sounds good to me....

Without trying to sound insensitive, I"d already sent my money for shirt and entry to Vaino so not sure what happens here?

Hi guys, apologies as I"ve been away for a while and missed a few things so playing catch up now.

If I could ask Tom Clark to act as Team Captain please - he will be my poc going forward from here onwards.

Except for the polo shirt order - Don if I could ask you to continue with your offer to get the order pulled together and let me know asap - don"t worry about deadline tomorrow - if I could have it over this weekend at the latest that will be fine thank you.

Regarding money - I believe you may all have paid the buyin and/or polo shirt order to Vaino - could I ask you all to send Tom Clark an email ASAP and inform him of what you paid (£55 buyin? 1 shirt £15? 2 shirts £30?) - Tom we can then chat and take this forward asap.  Could you please also confirm to Tom in the email if you wanted, or still want, single room accommodation for Fri and Sat at £75 total - Tom I"ve already got a room booked for you.

If anyone has any queries or problems please either contact myself or Tom Clark (but please give us a day or two to investigate some areas).

Hi all

Just to add a bit to what Tom has said above - I"ll be in touch with you all in the next day or two (hopefully tonight) regarding payment and hotel requirements - I know some of us had transferred funds to Vaino so once I know who has paid what I can pass this on to Tom and take it from there.  Please don"t hesitate to get in touch with me should you have any queries.

Due to our captain"s sad passing, could I also request that anyone interested in representing "Team Vaino" with an APAT Gold Medal to their name to get in touch with me ASAP please for consideration.  I"ll be looking to make a relatively quick decision due to the short timescales involved but all interest is welcomed.

I"d rather not be leading the team in such unfortunate circumstances so lets put in a performance that Vaino would be proud of and justify his faith in us.  We can also discuss the best way to pay tribute to an APAT legend.

Thanks all and look forward to seeing you in Stoke
Tom

Thanks to those who expressed an interest in representing Team Vaino.  I"m pleased to confirm that Suzanne Hayward will be joining us in Stoke.  Suzanne will be a tremendous addition to our team and I"m confident that we"ll do Vaino proud  :)

Thanks for adding me to the team Tom.

No one was going to be good enough to replace Vaino but I hope I, and we as a team will do him proud.

Suz - multi-tabling within one casino is hard, but doing so from Aspers in Stratford all the way to Stoke is going to be really tough.

Guess you not playing PokerPlayer now....  ;)

Yeah, shame they are both on the same day but easy choice really. will be an honour to play Stoke in memory of a dear friend.
