Zooming about
« on: December 29, 2013, 09:35:36 AM »
I have limited info on my opponent in this hand. It is Zoom and I have 19 hands on him. I have seen him call raises twice and fold to bets on the flop. Seems fairly standard ABC. What should my plan be on the river in this hand?

a) Check/call
b) Bet/call
c) Bet/fold
d) Check/fold

If you are betting how much and what do you think his range is?

PokerStars Zoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php

Button ($22.30)
SB ($25)
BB ($34.76)
Hero (UTG) ($70.85)
MP ($13.77)
CO ($12.10)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A, A
Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, Button calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35) 3, 4, 7 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.65, Button calls $1.65, 1 fold

Turn: ($5.65) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.65, Button calls $3.65

River: ($12.95) J (2 players)

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

I think it depends on villains image of you. Assuming he has not seen you bluffing it is a check for me and call a small bet. Id put villains likely range to be JJ, TT,99 and 88. KK,QQ he 3 bets pre. Any sets / straights I think he"s raising turn. You are probably ahead so you need to call a reasonable bet, but I dont think he"d call a third bet with anything you beat. If however you have been loose and agressive then a $4 bet will prob get a crying call from JJ,TT,99 .
