Well a few of you may know that a number of slightly podgy Apaters are aiming to shed a few pounds before the WCOAP, so I thought we could have a thread to pass on our tips/successes/failures to inspire each other.

I have lost 8 Lbs in week 1, which comes as no surprise given the amount needed to be lost, and this morning I started Aquarobics with the wrinklies of South Buckinghamshire, in Stoke Poges.

Well I can report that fecking Aquarobics, is a damn sight fecking harder than it fecking looks (rant over).

45 minutes of non-stop bouncing, stretching, jogging on the spot, kicking thrusting and everything in between has left your scribe a little on the tired side I have to admit. Still onwards and upwards, a cup of tea and a quick snooze should sort it out, before it all begins again tomorrow morning.

Lots of fruit and M&S "count on us" meals are to the fore atm, so with a bit of luck I will be even more irresistible than I was before (as if that were possible I hear you cry ;)) come mid April, although I fear this weekend might provide a stiff challenge, still we"ll see.

Good luck to all of the other fat fighters.

So Tuesday is Aqua Zumba day. Well feck me it"s even harder than normal Aquarobics but actually more fun. I have a feeling an afternoon snooze could become the norm.

Thank you for opening this thread

I need to loose quite a lot myself, I am not brave enough to do Aquathings to be honest, as I am bit to shy with the weight I have currently to go into a public swimmingpool

I started with callanetics today, I noticed I can"t give crips and sweets a complete miss, so I bought me some weight watchers crips and sweets

Good Luck to you
