Should I go pro??
Only kidding, but I have made 4 final tables in 3 days. Admittedly, they were in small field tourneys on PP (and two of those were shootouts) but have had a very good return on investment since I've been on my Easter hols.
My other really good month this year was in January and most of that was when I was on Chrimbo hols at the start of that month.
So I am seeing a correlation between poker success and holiday periods. So why don't I take a permanent holiday and play poker instead?? A few simple reasons.
1) I'd never earn enough playing poker at the stakes I play.
2) I love my job too much to quit anyway
What I should really be concentrating on is thinking about why I don't do as well at the virtual felt when I'm not on my hols.
I suppose the main reasons are tiredness and the pressure of squeezing in the odd hour to play the odd game without upsetting the good lady, who to be fair, is very supportive of my hobby (especially when I get a big score
)
Anyway, in matters away from the felt, it is the opening day of the county championship in the cricket season. It is also the start of Whalley Range CCs 2020 season, so I'm off to stretch out my hamstrings!!
