Thanks Des, I have spoken to Dan about my STT and HU prowess  ;) and expressed my interest. I then instantly withdrew as I remembered that the event takes place on school days.

but then again, "when your country calls"......... :D

Am on a stag do in said town. Most people are hitting clubs whilst i get lumbered with someone who is drunk and in need of walking home. Drop him off them find out from very friendly hotel staff about a casino only 5 mins away. Naturally i go on my own sign up and within 10 mins i am playing 1/2 with 100BB. Have hardly played a hand in 30 mins when i get to see a free flop with 4 runners with  kh 6h. Flop comes kd qh td. I check and call a 7 euro bet with my top pair and back door flush draw. 2 folds puts me hu and the 3h turn gives me more potential. I check call a 20 euro bet and decide i"m playing any red card on the river. River is 6d and i lead out for 55 euro. Oppo folds 9j face up deciding his flopped straight is no good. With a few more good hands i cash out for 315 and a nice profit. Belgian poker ftw.

After dropping the stag off at the hotel at 1, i went and tried my luck again. Terrible start. Dropped 70 bbs with a turned 2 pair v a better 2 pair. Ground it back up and left the table with 250 bbs. Kept limping with rags and flopping trips and then getting paid off. Cashed out for about 50 euro profit. I love live cash and can count on one hand my losing sessions. Sadly my online cash experiment is in reverse where i can count my winning sessions on one hand. I have lost more dough online this month than i have ever in a month and tbh am knocking it on the head. Its too hard for me to be a winning player at cash online and too profitable in tourneys to try again. This will be my third losing month in a row since my "big win" but now that i"m going back to basics it will surely be my last? Wont it?

Not done this for ages

Have gone back to grinding 22/33 STTs and have had a great month on those

The real enigma is my loss of form on stars DS sats.

played - 236
Heads up - 99
final tables - 49
seats - 19 (0 tickets in 37 games!!!)
minor cashes - 17
ROI - 67.8%

This includes a run of 37 games without a seat. For the first 200 games I was able to maintain an ROI of 90-100% and it has now really slipped in this bad run. When looking for reasons, I think it is just an extended bad run. I have still made a good proportion of FTs, but my record on these has been disasterous of late. I remember bragging to Leigh (obviously a mistake) about my FT prowess and had a huge conversion rate of FT to seat wins.

I"m still sticking with these though and am sure like buses, I"ll win 3 in a row ;D ;D

I wont be able to play these during the last week of october though because I"ll be in Vegas baby!! Only 8 days to go and cant wait!!

Rob says:
He sits down, plays the first pot without looking at his cards then says
"I"m only sitting down because I want a beer"
then picks up AK to felt a guy with AJ on a A hi flop
then calls a raise with 4Qs and flops a flush....
.....double stacker flopped a smaller flush

Rob says:
He also stacked a short stack in the same hand who had KJ on the KJ board.. :)
He was on serious tilt after
he goes "but I had the best hand preflop"
Neil says:

Rob says:
He then went on to tell everyone how great he was and how well he had played the hand and had just got unlucky blah blah blah
He then kept reminding players to post blinds and trying to correct the dealer.
I was wetting myself
The double stacker was actually cool about it

Rob says:
