I have started a mini grind (3 days) before I go on holiday. I finished school yesterday and have 3 days at home before the missus finishes.

I"ve played a few games since I last posted, but have not been keeping the running total, so will just see how much I win/lose over the 3 days

today was a disaster..

5 STTs with only 1 second place
14 MTTs with nothing but a $5 bounty to the + column

STT profit: - $72
MTT profit: - $667

bonus cleared: 92%

The aim is to complete the bonus in the 3 days (I should do it in 2) but it will be pretty pointless if I keep dropping amounts like this....

Felt I played well today, but it was one of those days where I kept running into monsters (plus a few grim outdraws)

Highlight was in a rebuy where I shoved flop with T hi (had a draw though), was called to find my hand good (he had draw too obv) and it held

Well, had another Barry today

I"ve got my $200 bonus added. I"ve also spent my Party points on $200 cash and a $350 bonus (5 x $70) that works out at about 70% rakeback, with the added luxury of being given 6 months to clear it. I should clear the first $70 by tomorrow.

However, I"m running like turd again today. Its been flush into flush, straight into straight, house into house, QQ into KK, KK into AA. I"m yet to be set over setted, but feel that is just around the corner. Again I feel that I"m playing ok so am not thinking of quitting....yet!

Really glad I"m going on holiday because I may need a break from this game, even though I dont want one

played 11 STTs and only cashed in 1 for third - disasterous run of luck there, including bubbling one when I had half the chips in play at one point

Have now cashed out £2500 for my holiday which begins today. Am off to SE asia and Australia for 5 weeks, so poker break well timed methinks....

Been a while since I posted on my blogthing. I normally put a series of brags in here and then go quiet when I"m doing bad. I have been doing ok in the last 9 months but have been suffering from writers block. However, I finally have something bragworthy to warrant starting the blog up again



My wife finally gave birth to a lovely baby boy.

Rory Martin Swindells, popped out at 03:47 on saturday morning weighing 6 lb 12 oz..

Mum and baby all well. Dad wondering when he can get his next grind in


I was even able to watch the FA cup semi. Everyone was texting telling me the baby was an omen (not as in the film I hope LOL) but I felt that sharing the same ward as Rio as his wife also gave birth would cancel it out. Luckily it was not to be as we fluked it with a flukey goal
